Another datapoint: it died this night again in X11. The machine was just
idleing in AccX 1.2. I never had X11 problems before, so it must be
a recent kernel problem. The machine doesn't respond to the NumLock keys
anymore, and can't be pinged from the network. Ctrl-Alt+Fx doesn't work
of course. I'll try to find something for a serial console to catch
it better.
