Yes, they do make sense. The system was never loaded, Bonnie was
the only "taxing" software I ran. Quadrupling the SCSI bus speed
did improve performance...

If you run the same benchmark on the same system; it is a good way to
tell if you are making any improvements and is valid.
However, once you start comparing benchmarks between different
systems, it gets very satanic - I'll agree there!
