I'm new here ( as of 5 minutes ago ), and sincerely hope
this topic hasn't allready been discussed to death. I did spend
quite a bit of time mucking through the archives. By the way, is
there a 'FAQ' for this list?
Anyhow ... what I'd like to know is what the current "best"
strategy would be towards rolling out a stablized kernel to a few
of our servers - we've been having problems with the strange
( and as far as I know, unsolved ) network hangs that people have
been talking about since after 2.0.29. We're currently using 2.0.33.
After a little detective work, it seems my best options are to:
A - use the 2.0.30-2 'nonetchange' patches against a clean 2.0.29
or
B - apply patch-2.0.34pre5.gz ?
Has that evasive tcp bug been traced yet? Does 2.0.34pre5
fix it? Should I just wait for the official 2.0.34 release?
I appreciate any suggestions.
