fat panic

I've just had a vfat filesystem panic:

Filesystem panic (dev 03:48).
fat_free: deleting beyond EOF
File system has been set read-only

All I did was rm a file.. is this a bug?

(Ack, just happened again, rm-ing another file).

Oh, another thing is I keep seeing some files appear with their short
filenames (ie fbecmd~1.ori)..
