Transmit timeout

2.1.96 SMP parallel port summary:

Apr 15 14:09:56 moving kernel: lp0: using parport4 (interrupt-driven).

Doesn't print a thing.

Apr 15 14:10:38 moving kernel: lp0: using parport5 (polling).

Prints just fine.

PLIP, still useless, all I get is 'plip1: transmit timeout(1,87)' on my
2.0.33 laptop. No messages on desktop attempting the ping. I know the cable
works, it has before.

Although it does the same thing if I boot into non-SMP 2.0.33.

Previously worked on a 486 SPP port but hasn't since I upgraded to a Tyan
Tomcat IV (SPP,PS2 minimum, SPP,ECP,ECPEPP,ECPPS2 at best).

PS: Anyone ever hear of a BTC sound card or know what driver should be
used?
