NMI-oopser.2.1.96-C has a _fatal_ bug, it executes bottom halves
from within an NMI-irq (yeah that was fun to debug :)...

And that would certainly lead to the recvmsg behavior reported,
because the synchronization rules between normal TCP networking code
and input packet processing are broken.

Please do as Ingo recommends, and let me know if the behavior is still
reproducable.
