this evening while someone was uploading files via ftp, my messages log
started filling up with:

Apr 28 21:50:41 hr67 kernel: TCPv4 bad checksum from 183.93.86.209:5034 to
67.140.24.208:0014, len=1480/1480/1500

etc.. i saw some posts pointing to turning off VJ compression in the PPP
link, but i'm on not using PPP; my only interface is eth0. this is on
linux 2.1.98.

eth0: 3Com 3c905 Boomerang 100baseTx at 0x6500, 00:60:08:a2:20:92, IRQ 11
8K word-wide RAM 3:5 Rx:Tx split, autoselect/MII interface.
eth0: MII transceiver found at address 24.
Enabling bus-master transmits and whole-frame receives.
