The machine boots fine, and has been working great overnight. Was nice
and zippy...
However, today I got:
SCSI disk error : host 0 channel 0 id 0 lun 0 return code = 2505007f
scsidisk I/O error: dev 08:05, sector 985720
and ever since the machine has been slugish. No other errors, but
anything disk related is slower. Some things work fast, but some
commands will pause 5-10 seconds before completing. This could just be
a disk going bad, but I thought I would bring it up. Otherwise this
config seems to work great under 2.1.99-pre3 + mingo's patch,
including ne2000... I have not tried smbclient (I have no machines to
try against. :)
config:
dual p-166
128meg ram
ne2000 network
2 ncr810 scsi controllers
(2 disks on one, and a cdrw/tape on the other)
other config details on request...
