I don't think this will help. If the mail is disappearing before it
gets to samba, trying to detect lost mail at this end is difficult. We
can only detect lost mail when we see a reply to an original mail that
did not arrive - difficult to automatically detect. That is why I
would like vger to add a sequence number to each mail, it can be
appended to the X-loop line without impacting users. Then it is
trivial to detect missing mail.
