There is a write-up on the "UMB" patch on Paul Gortmaker's Memory Savers
page at http://rsphy1.anu.edu.au/~gpg109/mem.html#r384; it has links to
the patch itself and a description of how to apply it. The patch is
against Linux 1.1.17.
