Anyone know what the following message means?

May 20 00:49:31 zeus kernel: svc: failed to decode args
May 20 00:49:31 zeus kernel: lockd: bad cookie size 8 (should be 4)

It's running non stop and filling up the message file.
I'm running SMP 2.1.102. Thanks for any help.
