I've installed Kernel version 2.1.103 (with SMP) on a Tyan Tomcat II dual
Pentium board, and I am watching some interesting interrupt condition on a
original Creative Labs Soundblaster 16 without PnP.
No Sound applications running:
python:~>cat /proc/interrupts ; sleep 1 ; cat /proc/interrupts
CPU0 CPU1
[..]
7: 65475 68751 IO-APIC-edge soundblaster
[ one second later.. ]
[..]
7: 65487 68763 IO-APIC-edge soundblaster
The Soundblaster generated some interrupts. But why? No application using
/dev/dsp or /dev/audio was running at this moment and I was not able to hear
anything. Everything else including sound output works normal. The last
kernel I tried was 2.1.99, no interrupt problem with the soundblaster card
here.
Regards
Carsten
