2.0.33 + mrouted 3.8

What was the status of multicast in 2.0.33? I am trying to get
mrouted 3.8 to set up a tunnel to a willing site. I have SGIs and a sun
here pouring the stuff out on the net just fine, but the linux box in
which I set up mrouted does not appear to work [the same way].

My impression is that the kernel is not putting the contents of the
packets recieved through the tunnel out onto the local net. I don't
know what should make it do that - but before I strain a brain cell, is
this going to work, or is multicast broken in 2.0.33?
