APM problems in linux/Xfree86

I am using i586MMX/Linux/APM Bios. I have enabled apm in kernel
compilation(2.1.105) and every time I switch from X Console to any text
console I get a noisy message:
"apm_bios: set display ready: Power managment disabled". What can you
say? This problem also perisists in other kernels (2.1.102 2.1.103
2.1.104 at least)
