I'm trying to set up this configuration :
server exports /home, which is a quota-enabled partition.
client mounts /home into /home. (and uses NIS to get server's users).
when joe user is connected on the server, the quotas are working
perfectly. When connected on the client, he can fill up the /home
partition if he likes, the quota's not being enforced.
quota -v gives the correct sizes on the server, gives "0" on the client.
Then :
when, after being over quota on the /home partition (with a big file), joe
destroys enough of this files to go again under quota, the server still
sees him as being over quota. quotacheck -augv cleans the mess.
Q1 : did I do anything wrong, or is knfsd wrong in not talking to the
quota kernel module ?
Q2 : if I did something wrong in Q1, and assuming a kind soul gives me
the right solution, what happens when I start using autofs (which
otherwise works perfectly), to mount joe's home directory
(/home/students/joe on the server, which exports /home) into /u/joe ?
Thanks in advance !
