Sound problem with Vibra 16

My sound card is a Vibra 16 PnP ( DSP 4.16) but the sound doesn't
worked in
16 bits, the only way I found is to obliged software to use 8 bits. But
many softs
can not be obliged. How do you omit dma16 for having sound with
everything
( dma16 is activated by default and soft use only this one ) . My kernel
is 2.1.90
if it can help ( I have try all dma16 configuration ) .
