I sent a this message to sparc-list@redhat.com, but haven't received an
answer that I think answers the question.
In addition to what I say below, I have now checked the termination,
replaced the terminator, tried a new cable and a new drive, and tried
swapping the connectors on the back of the drive. I don't think the
problem is hardware, especially since SunOS boots without a problem on the
same hardware.
What testing can I do to find the problem? I'm recompiling now with
DEBUG_ESP defined to see if that helps.

Hello everybody,
I just moved a disk from an IPC to an SLC, and I'm having problems with
the SCSI controller with don't allow it to boot. Additionally, I've tried
another disk and the problems persist. However, this machine will boot
SunOS just fine.
The kernel I'm using is 2.1.105-CVS. I've verified the problem on 2.0.33;
it has similar error messages. The main difference seems to be that
instead of quitting, it just loops on the errors.
Has anybody seen this behaviour before? Do you know the fix? Or are you
using an SLC and not having any problems?
