2.1.x has the beginning work for capabilities. It needs fs support in 2.3
to be wonderful

route's patch is unneeded. You can make pingd userland without kernel hacks.
In fact I have some firewalls that spoof ping for all the hosts behind
as well as spoofing portscanner stuff 8)
