2.1.107 still only see's first 2 of 8 scsi devices on aha2940

I know it's not my physical devices as my 2.0.34 kernel can see the last
device on the second chain perfectly well.

My 2.1.106 and 2.1.107 kernels however, cannot. I have all three
configured identically so I know I'm not leaving out a driver.

Currently I have this in my lilo.conf:

append="mem=256M hda=cdrom"

If your suggestion is to add something else, please write the exact
line to change that to as i've tried adding "aic7xxx=no_reset" and
a number of variations on that with no success.

This is the only odd portion of the messages file I can find.
