Still doesn't work.

More indepth system specs:
Dell OptiPlex GXpro PP200
96MB EDO ECC
AHA2940 Ultra Wide BIOS v1.23
Seagate ST15150N
NEC 462 CDROM

Errors I see:

Aborting command due to time out: pid 1, scsi 0, channel 0, id 0, lun 0
0x12 00 00 00 ff 00

then forever:
scsi host 0 abort (pid 1) time out - trying harder
scsi bus is being reset for host 0 channel 0

I'm going to try 2.0.34 (last kernel I used was 2.0.31)...
