Problems with sound drivers (off-list)

I have had two problems with the sound drivers in the 2.1.109 kernel (with
ac2 patch).

I am using a Pro Audio Spectrum 16 card. I just finally figured out how to
get the thing to work the other day =)

First off, the soundcode.o module seems to be getting its count incremented
rather than sound.o when the sb.o and pas2.o modules are inserted. I haven't
been able to mess around with the sound drivers too much (unfortunately),
but soundcore.o always has a usage count after all the other sound drivers
have been unloaded. Upon reinsertion of the sound drivers, the PAS is on
dsp/mixer +1 of the previous value.

Second off, I am getting kernel oopses whenever a program tries to
initialize sound after I have tried to unload the modules. It looks as if
soundcore.o can't properly handle the sound modules being uninitialized and
removed. Reinserting the sound modules cures the kernel oopses on running.

Sorry I am not very well detailed, I am not by the linux machine right now
=)
