We here at Axis Communications Ltd. are writing a port of Linux to our
chip Etrax. We have gotten interrupts and the scheduler to work, and now
we are hacking the console. I wonder if there is any documentation on
exactly the linux console works? There is nothing on in either "Linux
kernel internals" or "Linux device drivers", atleast not for
non-initialised systems..

Since we are on a strict deadline i would like to buy some time by getting
some real docs instead of trying to understand that huge sourcecode
involved in the console.
