Ah, I have this option in the BIOS; never knew one could use it to bypass
this problem. I did read something about a patch for the kernel to allow
it to configure itself around the "memory hole" - can anyone give info on
this? Also does this means I lose a meg of memory or will this missing meg
of memory be remapped onto the top of the memory map?

Thanks for the tips, I'll look into it tonight if someone can point me at
the info for Linux to map itself around the "hole".
