No the NFS block size normally depends solely on the server. In fact with a
BSD derived server you have to use disk block sized transfers or your write
performance will be basically unusable.

What it is saying which is much more important is that at least for 8Mb
and up the memory handling is behaving in 2.1.111

Maybe - thats run time configurable in 2.1.x too though
