I'm still having problems with ppp under the recent kernels.
An ftp over a ppp link takes forever and usually slows down
to a nearly complete halt after a 50K bytes or so.

bash$ ifconfig ppp0
ppp0 Link encap:Point-to-Point Protocol
inet addr:142.103.121.97 P-t-P:142.103.121.95
Mask:255.255.255.255
UP POINTOPOINT RUNNING NOARP MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:2995 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0
TX packets:0 errors:925331 dropped:3446 overruns:0

This is a connection between a 2.1.114 (2 cpus) and a 2.1.109 (1 cpu).

Will upgrading 142.103.121.95 to 2.1.114 fix the problem?

Many thanks.
