I have a few machines with 3Com 905 Fast Etherlink XL revision C
cards here and I was wondering if they are supported by the linux kernel
(development or stable versions). I tried 2.1.115 with the vortex driver
but the card got detected as a 3Com Fast Etherlink XL revision B card
and pinging another machine here resulted in a failure. The
routes and the interface were all set up the way they should be, ifconfig
showed the proper hardware address and everything else seemed to be fine.
