code freeze - looking for bugs

Hi,

Now that we are closing in on 2.2, I've become very concerned with the
stability of the kernel. I've toyed with the idea of a bug database
that is filled using a 'bug_report.sh' script that records the kernel
configuration along with the machine's hardware. I think this would
be an invaluable tool, but I just don't have the time.

What I do have the time for is gathering any methods the kernel
developers use to stress test the kernel and find bugs. Any scripts
or programs or anything that cause a bug to appear, or any advice that
will enable me to write a set of regression tests (I've never really
done testing, but I've suddenly got this desire to help make 2.2 super
stable since it will be closely scrutinized with all this press Linux
has been getting). Thoughts?
