Hi,

Just some news from the FAQ front.
- A new section "Mysterious kernel messages" was added.
- Trevor Johnson contributed many new excellent, well researched Q/As. Thanks,
Trevor, keep'em coming. :-)
- Many other contributions, large and small.
- Lauri Tischler gets the prize for the most original contribution. He
reminded me to add that the original author of the TANSTAAFL thing is Robert
Heinlein, in his Sci-Fi novel 'Moon is a Harsh Mistress'. David Niemi had told
me so, but I had forgotten the exact reference!

Also: the FAQ wants to MOVE.

Since www.altern.org had many maintenance problems lately, we are looking for
a new home for the FAQ. We also want to begin maintaining it using CVS, so we
need an account with enough permissions to setup a CVS tree.

As usual, contributions are particularly appreciated. The FAQ is getting
about 150 hits/day on average, so we believe it has been fulfilling its
original purpose: improve the signal/noise ratio on the list.

Cheers,
