Well, I probably wont mount "/" with it then. It doesn't much
matter though, I have PINE running on tty8 24/7 pretty much, and
I am on dialup PPP, so I know when I have mail because once I've
told it to download, I most certainly have 500 emails...

I always have mail in /var/spool/mail that is unread...

There is no critical system things that depend on atime though is
there?

One note:

I upgraded mount, and found out that kernel 2.0.35 does NOT
support NODIRATIME. There must be a patch somewhere to do it.

Alan, what are the chances of getting NODIRATIME into 2.0.36 or
37?
