Any attempt at mounting a DEC Ultrix CD using:
mount -t ufs -o ro /dev/cdrom /mnt
locks the kernel solid - instantly. No log messages no error messages.
Won't even respond to three-finger salute. This is 100% repeatable, and
occurs on two different boxes (one with ATAPI CD-Rom and one with SCSI).
This begs two questions:
1) Is the UFS filesystem supposed to support DEC UFS format?
2) If not, isn't this sudden-death a rather serious bug?
