Be sure to read the CHANGES file and upgrade to the most recent versions of
the files listed in it. Of course, I'm not doing that quite yet, myself,
but I've gotten most of the stuff.

On using the .config from 2.0.34, not really. Quite a bit has changed
between the kernels and it may not work right.
