Hi...
I just wanted anyone looking in to this to know that I do not have
this problem, neither any of my students (I work as a UNIX teacher
using Linux).
We (about 30 people) run setups ranging from stock RedHat 5.1 and
Caldera OpenLinux Base 1.2, to kernel 2.0.36-pre6 with both mc 4.1.33
(The one in RPM) and mc 4.1.35 (Self compiled).
With all of this, no one have ever reported such a problem...
...and I'd might add, mc is one of our favourite tools, so it's
tested... ;-)
