I have put a new Linux kernel NFS daemon at

The current nfsd/rpc in the Linux kernel is broken. My kernel NFS
package has a patch for Linux kernel 2.1.1xx. It seems to work for me.
Linus, please take a look at the patch inside knfsd-980820.tar.gz. It
fixes quite a few NFS/rpc bugs. NFS lock works for me between
linux/alpha and linux/x86 now.
