Linus, how about just backing out the patch
that tried to add LBA translation for otherwise-untranslated disks.
I'll just put up with the excess email noise about "why doesn't Linux
use the correct translation for my new disk".
Too many folks seem to already be doing tricky things for us now
to progress backwards to the "BIOS LBA" way of life.
I'll be off email for the next 2.5 weeks,
coincidently the same as the last time an IDE issue arose.
Get 2.2 released in the meanwhile! (yeah, right)
