I was promised that I could borrow some disks here so I could play a
bit with it, however it will be inbetween my HIPPI/GigE network driver
hacking.

I noticed when doing receive tests and writing data to disk that I
could not saturate the CPU in the same way as I could do when reading
off disk, also I would of course like to see more speed - I suspect
the code could use a bit more fine grained locking for this.

I would be interested in working together with you on this.
