If you are working on this it would be good to clean it up so that it
lives in drivers/sound, shares the structure defines (pcsp.h seems to
contain duplicates of sound driver defines) and used soundcore.
The soundcore stuff is there specifically so you can mix and match
sound drivers OSS or otherwise that share the API
