AFS, and many other network file systems (NFS excluded), support ACLs.
(They only apply to the network, though; just having an AFS client running
doesn't extend AFS ACLs to local filesystems.)

I am given to understand that the ACL stubs in ext2fs are finally going
to be fleshed out in 2.3.
