There can only be one master at a time transferring data on the bus, but
you can hook up as many masters as you like - you have to take care of
arbitration though (i.e. get lost when some other uC transmits data).
But beware, in the early days of my i2c bus driver I managed to erase the
eeprom of my TV that stored all the timing values for various chips. Luck
it was still guarantee time ;)
