5. I want UNIX vendors, Linux distributors, VARs, etc., to sell our
boards and include the (L)GPLed drivers I (or others) write for them. I
use GPL to specifically allow vendors to ship my drivers in _source_
code form. I would accept software vendors including my GPLed driver
_source_ (with the required notices, of course) on their media with the
anticipation that customers would buy our hardware and have it work for
them.

To this end I would help a commercial vendor (and I would expect a vendor
to reciprocate by forwarding bug reports w/ resolutions, etc.) and UDI
would be a good thing for us. ... especially if it can be made to work
under (*yuck!*) Windows NT.
