Invalid fragment list message

I'm unsure if this has been discussed here, but running 2.1.122 (no
patches) I've suddenly started receiving these messages:

Sep 23 11:11:25 localhost kernel: Invalid fragment list: Fragment over
size.
Sep 23 11:11:25 localhost last message repeated 18 times

Any pointers?

Additionally, this kernel doesn't seem to umount the root directory when
rebooting. I read of this problem with an earlier kernel, but hadn't
noticed it myself until a few days ago, as I hardly ever reboot except
for kernel upgrades.
