Most audio tape recorders I know of give you so much jitter on the tape speed
that you really have a hard time doing much better than 1200bits/s.

Contrary to video recorders, which have a very stable tape speed. But then
again, why use the audio input when the video input has 100 times the
bandwidth :-)

We could use a video card with TV output and a Bt848 card for input
- might be a fun thing to do once I figure out how the V4L API _really_
works :-)
