aic7895 works on 2.0.35?

For me, it doesn't. :(

On boot, aic7xxx driver finds both channels. When scanning for devices, I
get for both channels:

Bad scbptr 255 during SELTO.
Referenced SCB 255 not valid during SELTO.
SCSISEQ=0x12 SEQADDR=0x8 SSTAT0=0x15 SSTAT1=0x88

Kernel is plain 2.0.35. Can I use this aic7895 thing with this kernel or I
have to go dev kernel?
