I've recently been building a new system from scartch, having a test box
NFS mount its root filesystem from my main workstation.

But when I attempt to compile something on the test box (ie, LOADS of NFS
i/o) after a few minutes I'll receive

10/04/1998 14:22:11 neko kernel: eth0: Interrupted while interrupts are
masked! isr=0x0 imr=0x0.
10/04/1998 14:29:03 neko kernel: eth0: Interrupted while interrupts are
masked! isr=0x0 imr=0x0.
10/04/1998 14:35:34 neko kernel: eth0: Interrupted while interrupts are
masked! isr=0x0 imr=0x0.
10/04/1998 14:56:15 neko kernel: eth0: Interrupted while interrupts are
masked! isr=0x0 imr=0x0.
10/04/1998 14:56:16 neko kernel: eth0: Interrupted while interrupts are
masked! isr=0x0 imr=0x0.

over the course of about 30m or so on the NFS server. After that the
machine locks up tight. Console dead, no Alt-SysRq. No message in logs or
on screen.

Server (the machines that locks up)
Dual PII (Supermicro P6DBE)
NE2K Clone
Universal NFS Server 2.2beta33
glibc 2.0.95
gcc version egcs-2.91.57 19980901 (egcs-1.1 release)
Everything build at modules

Client
Compaq 4122
NE2K Clone (same brand)
(same software)
Fat 2.1.122 kernel (almost everything compiled directly in)

More info upon request....

G'day!
