The CMD646 support in 2.1.126[pre1|pre2|pre2ac1] crashes a notebook
with a CMD646 chipset - there's an Oops which goes by too fast to
read (and since it's in the IDE driver, there's no way to log it),
and the machine reboots immediately. Same machine, same kernel
with CMD646 support disabled works well.

CMD646 support should never have been added to the available IDE
chipset configurations for non-sparc64 platforms without due testing
and verification. I never intended that driver to be run on an Intel
or Alpha system for example.

Who added cmd646 as an option to drivers/block/Config.in???
