Memory Mystery..

I've come acrossed an odd reoccuring problem which I cannot solve. With
kernels say..121 through 125, everything will be fine for about 8 days or
so, then when I do something like a 'who', I get "Memory Exhausted" or a
segfault. There is no load, and nothing seems to be grabbing memory. This
happens with 128 megs of ram on the box and nothing running. /proc/meminfo
shows all the memory being used and it's hitting swap...which shouldn't
be. I am compiling with no weird CFLAGS, and am using a pgcc patched egcs
(1.1 release) to compile my kernels. Anyone who could enlighten me, I
would appreciate it. Oh, on a side note, I ran 121 with an uptime of over
a month before I realized that I had this problem, I then upgraded to 125
thinking it was a 121 problem, and the problem is reoccuring.. Thanks.
