Even if we don't need it now, we ought to be including it if we need it before
the next stable release. If the 2.3 development cycle is as long as the 2.1
one, then that's a long way away.

Too many people (myself included) are using development kernels on production
machines. As long ago as last July, I was basing an embedded network system on
2.1 kernels, simply because 2.0 was so far behind.
