Symlink maxdepth in 2.1.*

While attempting to recompile my bind-8 sources i came across an error
that wasn't there the last time i compiled. After a bit of source reading
I discovered that the current symlink logic allows only 5 levels of links.
Any more ant it is classefied as a loop.

I am certainly not to pleased with bind:s use of symlinks, but there are
probably many more programs out there that depends on deeper symlink
chains. Can this limit be raised to a level where it is clearly more than
could resonably be useful before 2.2?
