First of all, who cares? If Linus and others take care of kernel, and
they say that they will use gcc-2.7.2.3 then you may complain about it,
but you won't get anything..., Linus rules here, so... try it "hurd"er XD
Second, my opinion is that we have two "easy" alternatives,
- Remaking the kernel in order to use "correct" assembly code
- Adding a flag to egcs/pgcc/gcc, say something like --fkernel, that
would allow "incorrect" assembly code
The point is who makes what?, it's clear that the first is more
hard to do and with those weird changes on gcc/egcs politics you don't
know how long it will last..., the second is a really *bad* solution but,
what the hell, we all know how things got made here XD
