You still havent said how you are measuring the CPU utilisation.

Posting the hardware config would be interesting. I have two doubts

1. The CPU usage reported by Linux and BSD's are measured in
completely different ways so things like top don't give
comparable data

2. I've seen significantly different bench values for the networking
one the other way around.

#1 is simply a benchmarking error, #2 makes me interested in your configuration
and job set because there is no reason your benches should be wrong and Im
genuinely keen to ensure we beat freebsd on all cases (and ditto they the
reverse). This has a lot to do with why both OS's leave NT for dead :)
