1) This is an optional feature - albeit not at compile time. Setting
rootpages to 0 is the same as saying: don't give root any special
treatment.
2) The 1Mb number is just a wild estimate. Setting rootpages to '1'
you reserve 1 page (4k - Intel), setting rootpages to '2' you reserve 2
pages (8k - intel) and so forth. You're the man in charge ...
